I was born into a “dog family”, My Mother (Jo Anne Griffith) was winning 5 point majors in Newfoundlands 18 hours before I was born.
At age 7 I owned my first show dog a mini poodle, “Onyx,” owned with Laurie Campbell and Elaine Whitney, She was sired by “Surrey Habanero” A beautiful dog owned and bred by Mrs. Anne Rodgers Clark.
Onyx was a terrific Poodle and a great show dog. Together we won best puppy in shows, multiple specialties, as well as \an American championship.
We went to Poodle Club of America and were awarded Best junior handler from Mrs. Michelle Billings. What a thrill! I was involved in Junior handling and also became involved in my Father’s (John Griffith) love of Pointers.
Our family owned the top dog all breed 1999 “CH Tahari’s Serious Alibi, At a very young age I won many groups on him en-route to this achievement. I took some time away from the shows to backpack Europe, Volunteer for Habitat for Humanity (Global Village program) Honduras and Jordan, and go to college graduating in the Marketing program.
I am very passionate about Smooth Fox Terriers and I have been very fortunate to be involved with the beautiful Broxden dogs- Amy Booth. I pride myself in excellent care and conditioning of dogs, and so enjoy the time that i spend with them…playing, training, grooming..developing that competitive edge.
I have enjoyed many amazing wins…. Best in show at Purina National, an American National, Best in show at Lower Mainland (Canada’s largest show) Many champions both sides of the border.
I believe in the Holistic approach to showing dogs..Know them, nurture them, condition them and empower them to win! I live in the beautiful Niagara Peninsula, an hour from Toronto and an hour from Buffalo making both airports easily accessible and many shows are two hours or less from my door.
